The smell of the unknown future...
It's crazy to think of what the universe has already planned for me. I originally did not think to apply to New York University because my parents didn't want me to go out of state. But I applied anyway because I just had to know if I would even have a chance. Surprisingly, I got in. I was dumbfounded. I'd spent the entire year with the mindset that I would go to school in California, and this was the curve ball that I was not expecting.
If you love something, let it go...
It's funny how much this quote applies to me now. I loved NYU and I fell in love with I visited the campus (curse you feelings!!!), but deep down inside I knew that I had to be realistic. So I chose to stay in California. Let's not talk about the heartbreak and tears. On the real-Can you blame me? I look so good in violet. *tears*
The universe has a plan...
But the universe had a plan. It allowed me to revisit New York and fall in love with the concrete jungle. If I hadn't applied to NYU, I would've never known how much I loved New York. Yeah I didn't end up accepting NYU but...ISN'T THAT JUST CRAZY?!?!??!?!? Ugh, the universe just boggles my mind sometimes.
Anyway, after our NYU Orientation, we stopped by a place that I've been DYING to go to. Beyond Sushi! It's a cute little vegan sushi place (emphasis on little) that was AMAZING. Seriously, my entire family loved the sushi and they normally are against my vegan eats haha. Try to eat there if you can! The prices are fairly reasonable especially since vegan food is normally more expensive too.
**TIP**
MoMA is actually free on Fridays between 4 pm-8 pm, so we decided to stop by! On our way there, we actually passed by the Halal Guys Cart and couldn't help buy buy two bowls (keep in mind this is only like 30 minutes after sushi). The rave about this place is seriously so real.
We went into MoMA but ended up leaving because there was just way too many people. I'm excited to stop by the next time I visit, though!
That was the end of a wonderful day. I went back to the hotel with more questions than I could even imagine. I remember I was so set on NYU after visiting, but of course I ended up changing my mind.
I only have a few photos left for the next day! Thank you guys for keeping up!
Sorry for the dramatic post HAHA
I love your coat!

Thanks for stopping by my blog Shirley!! Deciding on NYU was probably one of your most difficult decisions ever. But yes, I do believe there is a plan and sometimes some things are not meant to happen. Glad you still get to visit the city! And yea it's crazy how people that halal spot is.
